Anyburn 2.9 free download

The free disc burner featured a friendly graphical user interface that listed the various tasks it could perform using prominent buttons on the main window. We only needed to click on the appropriate button depending on what we wanted to do. The simple application allowed us to perform 10 different functions. We started with the first task on the display, which was burning an image file to disc. The software took us to a window where we needed to browse for and select the source image.

If your computer has more than one optical disc drive, you need to select the one you want to use for burning. We also selected our preferred burning speed from a drop-down list.

Other things we could configure included verifying written data, ejecting disc after burning and finalizing the disc, which prevented further writing on the disc. AnyBurn allowed us to perform the reverse by creating an image file from a disc. The simple process required us to select the source drive, file type, filename and its destination before clicking the "Create Now" button.

When we wanted to create an audio CD, we added files and the software displayed their respective track numbers, titles, artists, duration, pause, size and path. We could get more information about an audio file by selecting it and clicking the 'Properties' button. We could also change the positions of files by moving them either up or down the list before proceeding to the next window where we could select the burn speed and let the application verify written data, finalize disc and eject it after burning.

After a brief and uneventful setup procedure that does not require any special input from the user, you are greeted by a standard window with a plain and simple interface, where you can select one of the listed tasks. Therefore, you can burn an image file to disc, by selecting the burning drive and speed. As far as settings go, you can make the tool verify the written data, eject the disc after burning, as well as finalize the disc an option which is required by media players.

Any Burn is very low-demanding when it comes to the CPU and system memory, has a good response time and carries out a task in reasonable time. No error dialogs have been shown in our tests and the app did not hang or crash.
