I get a error when i try to get to the Honeycomb image. I have a 16gb card but it seems silly that 14gb are sitting useless.
Everything worked perfectly, except the image left a ton of my SD card unused and not listed as free space. Disk manager on the mac says the free space isnt allocated into the partitions and the size of the partitions cant be edited. Does anyone know how to increase the free space in the sd card image partitionwhen you.
I tried for hours and ended up using the cable from my phone and worked like a charm first time. Way cool! Took me a couple times going through it before I could get ADB to recognize the Nook, but once I got through that I issue was able to get the Android Market to appear and to start adding apps. So far I like it alot. Some folks obviously went to a lot of effort to put this together for people like me.
Wow, for all of you complaining, go buy a Xoom. Flash, unfortunately, is one that does not. My NC with Honeycomb is not showing google apps. I have adb running and ran honeygappinstall, cmd came up very quickly and then disappeared. Rebooted NC but no gapps listed in apps… any help would be appreciated.
The latest update to the Nook Colors official firmware included a flash enabled web browser. Is there any way to get flash working with Honeycomb? The link to the HoneyComb Virtual Imange for the nook is broken. Where can I find it, or can I use any HoneyComb image for the nook..
This also looks like you are not having to root the nook tor this to work. Does the nook need to be rooted? For ADB, you have to uninstall the portable device and USB mass storage device from your device manager while the device is plugged in and then install the package from the website linked. Waste of time and energy to play with this crap. To root, I need adb connected to the Nook Color. To use adb, the device needs to be rooted. Seems to be a vicious cirlce with nothing accomplished.
Can anyone help? Tried all this, even got the drivers right, but no devices listed in the command prompt. Im dead in the water. Any suggestions? The above instructions only partially work on the mac. The problem is that adb does not recognize the nook on the Mac.
You can download the market app directly to nook and install it from there, but you cannot install GoogleFramework. It fails. Thanks again. How did you get that download to work?
Solved the Winimage not finding the disk by right clicking the app and running as an administrator, but the bottom line is, writing the image to the SD card turns it from an 8 gb card to a mb card, and the zip file we need to put on next is mb. I see no way around this, yet many people seemed to have breezed past this with no problem. Trick was, I was using the wrong zip file. Oddly enough the demo above is one of only two that I have gotten to play. Please help my wife is giving me grief for messing with her Nook….
Back to Nook OS, I guess. Set the correct time zone, then set the correct date and time. Try it again.
Then it stopped working again. Back to broken honeycomb. However, Nook Color does not have much space left after installing honeycomb. Can you please advise on a solution to utilize my sd card? I have a 16 Gig Class 6. I would like to install my apps to the sd card. Ok so i followed all instructions to the tee and was able to root my nook…came to installing honeycomb and i get up to the inserting of the sd card into my nook and i go through the install procedure…i take out the sd card and my nook will not turn on at all without the memory card inserted into it…someone plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have force stopped the market and google framework and cleared both caches, rebooted, still not working. I even tried setting the correct date and time and rebooting and still nothing please help. I have the same problem. Thank you. Works like a charm. Anyone know how to get the calendar working?
The calendar app is missing. I rooted my nook color with the Honeycomb 3. I was wondering if there is a way to download adobe flash player on it. I tried to do it from the adobe web site, but it does not recognise my device. I have been trying to get this to work all day, I think that I have about got it but when I boot to Honeycomb, my internal memory is showing as only.
Last time I follow a tutorial from here. Hi Guys, Thanks for the great support. What Should I do? This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed. Yep, a long-awaited update to the tablet Market is definitely in full effect, and it looks nearly identical to the phone Market. This is no coincidence, either-- remember the minor update that El Goog pushed to phones last week? It turns out that is the same exact version that's being pushed to the XOOM. Yeah, that means you can simply download the 3. That's all kinds of win.
Update: There seems to be a minor issue after pushing the new Market. After I first installed it on my Tab I rebooted my Tab, which left one icon intact, but it was for the old Market.
